ONCE UPON A TIME .. - BURGRUINE GÖSTING

... there were two young woman who went on an 'adventure' into the woods and didn't know what was waiting for them. And they sure as hell didn't expect that the way that would lead them to their castle (ruin) would be as exhausting as it was.

AUTUMN IN MARIBOR! - sLOVEnia #4

My love for spontaneous trips shouldn't be a secret to you anymore. Recently the perfect day for such trips seems to be Sunday. My Sundays used to be nearly all the same - me lying on the couch, in front of the TV, a bottle of water next to me and hoping that my hangover from the night before would go away soon. 😉However, since I've been working full-time I appreciate my free time on the weekends more and that's why I want to make the best out of it. Yes, I still love those lazy Sundays, and they are very much needed from time to time, but mostly I want to do stuff, go places, explore. So last Sunday I went to Maribor.

SEPTEMBER FAVOURITES!

Long time, no favourites, huh? Even though I haven't got many items on my September favourites list, I still wanted to share them with you and get into doing these again regularly as you seem to enjoy these a lot!

GRÜNER SEE // GREEN LAKE

Hello! This post should have gone up a while ago now actually but I just didn't feel like writing it. Call it what you want - "writers block" or whatever. ;) At lot of you guys out there have probably already heard about or seen a photo of the Green Lake in Tragöß, Styria. To visit that lake has been on my bucket list for waaaay too long now! And finally I am able to tick it off of my list, even though it's definitely a place I want to revisit again in another season.

LET'S HIKE!

When I was younger me and my whole family went hiking at least once a year. To be honest, that wasn't something I looked forward to. For me it was mostly too exhausting but at the same time quite boring. The only positive aspects I could find back then were the view (even though I didn't know what I was seeing - I still don't to this day) and the food afterwards. (we went to a Buschenschank afterwards most of the times) 😋Recently however, I've quite enjoyed hiking with my mum and dad. I live in such a beautiful part of the world (I'll let the pictures convince you of that) and it makes me a little sad that I know and have seen so little of it.

TIMEOUT IN UMAG!

The most important items in my travel bag would have to be my DSLR, my polaroid camera and my phone. I hardly ever leave the house without at least one of these three items. I'm the kind of person that runs around and takes pictures of literally anything, because as soon as I'm at home and look through my photos, the feeling that I didn't take enough photos or that I missed something hits me. It's like I might forget that I've even been there if there's no proof in form of a photograph, which is stupid, isn't it? When I went to Piran in May, I took around 500 pictures in 3 days. (You can look at a few of them in my post, here)

NAKED STRAWBERRY BANANA CAKE!

As you should probably know by now, I love baking! However, as I'm baking cupcakes most of the time, I'm not that experienced when it comes to real cakes. Thankfully I did quite a good job with this one, which I baked for my dad on Fathers Day. He and the rest of the family loved it. This cake tastes so delicious, light and fresh (and no, I don't go overboard when saying that). Therefore I decided to share the recipe with you.

10 THINGS TO DO IN PIRAN! - sLOVEnia #3

A few weeks ago, from May 14th to May 16th, I went to Piran, Slovenia. Never heard of Piran before? Well, that's a shame! Even though it's already been a few years ago, I still remember how one of my old geography teachers told me about this town for the first time. We were talking about all the European countries, and when we were talking about Slovenia, he said that we definitely should go to Piran one day because it's so beautiful there and omg was he right! Since that exact moment I've been planning to go there.

But what could you possibly be doing in Piran?

PIRAN IMPRESSIONS!

I've uploaded this video already a few weeks ago, but now it's also here on my blog - just a few impressions of my trip to Piran. A detailed blogpost about my stay there is coming soon! Enjoy!

THESE ARE A FEW OF MY FAVOURITE THINGS ... APRIL!

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Talking about my favourite things, here are a few of my favourite beauty and lifestyle related products which I really liked in the month of April.

KIKO PURCHASES!

Most of you guys out there who are quite interested in all things beauty related will probably have heard of the brand KIKO at some point before. A lot of beauty bloggers and Youtubers I watch have raved about their products, so I wanted to try some for myself as well. Only problem - there hadn't been a KIKO store somewhere near I live until recently and I'm also not a huge fan of buying Make-Up online to be honest. So I guess you'll understand that I was more than excited to see that a KIKO store opened quite recently in Graz, to be more precise in the 'Shopping City Seiersberg'.

MARCH FAVOURITES!

First of all, you don't have to tell me that I'm reeeeally late with this post this month, but I still didn't want to keep my monthly favourites from you - so here you go!

FRIENDSHIP!

"Friendship isn't about who you've known the longest...
It's about who walked into your life,
said "I'm here for you" and proved it."

APRIL 5TH - KHAKI JEANS!

*drumroll please* Here it is - my first ever real Outfit post! Took me quite a while to do one, didn't it?
As this is my first post of this kind, please excuse my 'weird' facial expressions - I'm not really used to be in front of the camera and maybe you'll see that I'm not that comfortable with it just now. It also didn't really help that there were a lot of people watching us and a few guys even laughing at us whilst we had our little 'shoot'. However, enjoy!

VALUE MAKERS BRUSHES - REVIEW!

As I told you in my first YouTube video, I recently ordered a make-up brush set from Amazon. I have no idea how I stumbled upon these but they look a lot like the Real Techniques Bold Metal brushes which are quite expensive! Of course I read the customer reviews beforehand, but I couldn't find anything that helped me because the opinions varied so much. So I just gave it a shot and ordered them.

AN AFTERNOON IN THE SNOW!

A few days ago after work, I picked up my best friend because we had planed to spend the afternoon together. At first we wanted to go to a rather small lake not far away from where we live, but things never turn out the way you expect, right? So, she made the glorious suggestion that we could go to a Alp - which we ended up doing.

START NOW, NOT TOMORROW!

I don't know about you guys out there but I tend to think "I can do that later", "I'll start tomorrow" etc. a lot.. One of my resolutions for this year was to start a YouTube channel and to just sit down and film videos. When my friends asked me "When are you uploading your first video?" I answered something which is typical of me: "I don't know yet, it's only March, I've still got a lot of time left."

NYX HIGHLIGHT & CONTOUR PRO PALETTE!

We all know how hyped and often talked about highlighting and contouring is nowadays, and all of the transformations you find online are honestly crazy! I know I'm kinda late to jump on the bandwagon, but whatever! My best friend saw a german Youtuber talk about this palette in one of her videos quite a while ago and she was so into it and immediately told me about it and well, as you can see, I purchased it. #YouTubemademebuyit
Today however, I want to show you a bit more of this gorgeous palette in case you haven't heard of it before.

FEBRUARY FAVOURITES!

Who would've thought that I'd be writing a favourites post one day? Definitely not me!
But here I am, doing exactly that and I hope you enjoy reading about my monthly favorites from now on. Even though I can't guarantee that there will be one every single month, but I'll try my best if you enjoy reading them.

BILOU - REVIEW!

Depending on where you're from, you may know Bibi from the YouTube channel 'BibisBeautyPalace' - she's a german YouTuber (since 2012) in her twenties who brought out her own range of shower foams in November. Currently it's not available in stores in Austria or Switzerland, so I couldn't get my hands on it - until now. A special thanks goes out here to my friend Doris who got one for me whilst she was in Munich! :)

LENA'S BLOG NOW ON FACEBOOK!

I finally got around to make a Facebook page (click here) for my blog - so if you want to keep updated you can head over there now and like it. I would really appreciate that! :)

THE 52 LISTS PROJECT! - REVIEW

A few days ago, I was endlessly scrolling through my Pinterest before going to bed, as one does, when I stumbled upon a post about this book called 'The 52 list project' by Moorea Seal. Once I read a bit more about it, I immediately headed over to amazon and ordered it!

JANUARY IN PICTURES!

Can anyone of you guys tell me where January went? It feels like January's gone in the blink of an eye and I truly can not believe it's the second of February already! And you know what that means, right? It's time for my monthly "... in pictures" - post - enjoy! :)

"WOULD YOU RATHER?" - BEAUTY EDITION!

I saw this post on Miss Amy Guest and I liked the idea of it, as it's a quite unusual post for me, because I've never done anything like a tag or a questions post before - I hope you enjoy!

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS 2016!

Hello guys!

When looking at my blog statistics, it's quite obvious that my bucket list 2015 post is undoubtedly my most read post of all time. Honestly, I don't know why, but maybe you're at least a little bit like me and like reading such things. Maybe it's because I'm a bit nosy or whatever. It's just really interesting to me what people dream of and want to achieve in a year or a certain amount of time. Last year I came up with 25 things I wanted to do, and (of course) I couldn't tick off everything of my list. This year I narrowed it down to only 8 things on my agenda. 8 things I want to do and achieve in 2016. Curious? Go on reading! :)

DECEMBER IN PICTURES!

Seems like you've enjoyed reading my November in pictures - post, so I thought I'd keep on doing that kind of post each month and today it's time for all the photos I took through December  I know I'm a bit late this month, but here it is now - enjoy!
