NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS 2016!

Hello guys!

When looking at my blog statistics, it's quite obvious that my bucket list 2015 post is undoubtedly my most read post of all time. Honestly, I don't know why, but maybe you're at least a little bit like me and like reading such things. Maybe it's because I'm a bit nosy or whatever. It's just really interesting to me what people dream of and want to achieve in a year or a certain amount of time. Last year I came up with 25 things I wanted to do, and (of course) I couldn't tick off everything of my list. This year I narrowed it down to only 8 things on my agenda. 8 things I want to do and achieve in 2016. Curious? Go on reading! :)

1. work out more/ try to live healthier
The first one's quite obvious, isn't it? It's one of the things everybody has as a New Years resolution but totally forgets about it by next week. This year however, I want to really to push myself and do more for my health. I'm not saying I want to loose weight or anything, I'd just like to get toned and cut down on unhealthy things such as junk food and alcohol.

2. do more things out of my comfort zone
That one may seem quite obvious as well, but it's true - the most awesome things happen out of your comfort zone. Don't get me wrong with that one, there's nothing wrong with having a comfort zone, however, we should force ourselves to step out of it more often. Whatever that may mean exactly.

3. spend more time with my beloved ones
Nobody lives forever, so I want to make the most out of the time I have with my family and friends! I don't mean just going out with friends and partying all night long. What I'm thinking about are spontaneous trips, long talks, board game parties, pajama parties or just being together and enjoying the presence of each other. And most importantly I mean really be with them, which means putting aside my phone when we're together. You know what I'm talking about right? It happens more and more often these days that when a group of people sits together at a table, some of them are whole-heartedly listening what the other's are saying whilst scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, etc. Which is actually really sad if you think about it.

4. read. read. read
Reading has always been a huge part of my life. I still remember how I would lend piles of books from our local library and read until late in the night whenever I had holidays. Although I always loved reading, I kind of neglected that hobby of mine in the past few years and I want to read more again this year. There are still so many great books out there which I haven't read so far - so by the way, if you could recommend me any, leave a comment below. Thanks in advance!

5. take blogging even more serious and start a YouTube channel
This blog's been online for nearly one and a half years now and I still enjoy blogging like on the first day. This year I want to take it even more serious, blog more frequent and come up with a blogging schedule.
Most of the time blogging and YouTube go hand in hand - and if I hadn't been such a coward, I would've already started a YouTube channel myself a long time ago. Like a lot of other people, I worried a lot about what the others may think or say if I started making YouTube videos but I also thought that before starting this blog, and all my friends have been always encouraging me - thanks for that, by the way! :)
The last few months I've already uploaded a few videos of my travels to my channel, but prepare yourselves for more videos this year. (You'd make me really happy if you'd already subscribe :b) - et voila, I'm already stepping out of my comfort zone.

6. travel as much as I can!
I feel like this will be on my New Years resolutions list every year for as long as I live.
The quote on the picture above describes it very well - I have this desire to explore and travel! Whenever I'm being at home for a long period of time, I feel like I need to go somewhere new, somewhere I haven't been before. Therefore I'm a huge fan of spontaneous road trips, anywhere basically. Last year I came up with a few specific places I wanted to go - this year I won't. I'll just go wherever it takes me ;) However, if such a list would exist, Budapest (Hungary), Cinque Terre (Italy), Grüner See (Austria) would be some of the places on there.

7. figure out what I want to do with my life
Whenever someone asked me about what I wanted to do after school, what profession I want to become or basically what I want to do with my life, I've said "I don't know yet". A lot of my friends seemed to have already planned everything out perfectly and this always made me worry a lot. To be honest, I still haven't got a plan what I want to do. I feel like there are just so many opportunities, and I feel like I haven't got a 'special talent' or anything I could build up on.. This year I need to figure out what to do next - find a job I like, go to university and start studying? Go abroad for a few months? I'll figure it out!

8. move out and get my own flat
Even writing these words feels quite scary. Moving out. Living on my own. That's just such a grown up thing to do! Even though my 21st birthday is only a few months away, I don't feel like an adult. Moving out will probably change a lot. Sooner or later I have to, though.
& once again, by doing this, I'll be stepping out of my comfort zone ;)

  4. I second all your resolutions, especially doing things outside of your comfort zone. That's something I find myself wanting to do again and again. I don't think I do a very good job of it though.
